Description 

HoganLax runs lacrosse events (tournaments, club teams, team training) throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and Florida. HoganLax has been in business since 2002 and operates 3 summer events while supporting 16 of their own clubs. All events are held in Maryland and Pennsylvania in the summer months. Offices are in Hanover, Maryland. 

An 8-13 week internship 

  • From May-August 
  • Non-tournament weeks would be Monday through Friday 
  • Tournament weeks interns will be expected to work weekends 
  • Holidays off: Memorial Day and July 4 

Work Environment 

Will work directly with the CEO and Director of Operations, will have input to eh daily operations including event improvement, management, promotion, and all tournament aspects. HoganLax open floor offices encourage and promote a collaborative team environment. Interns will have significant responsibilities and the opportunity to supervise staff. All is conducted in an intense, fun, and team-oriented environment. Will be actively involved in pre-event planning and post actions meetings. 

Responsibilities 

Will supervise staff, coordinate projects, and possess positions of responsibilities and leadership opportunities. 

Operations Interns:  

  • Assist with set up and breakdown of all events 
  • Assist with packing, movement, and execution of inventory 
  • Assist with hiring and supervision of Operations staff 
  • Report Directly to “Director of Operations” 
  • Implement systems for improved operations 
  • Ordering, receiving of inventory needs 
  • Planning, organization, and execution of projects 
  • Event planning 
  • Developing systems 

Current Events 

  • June 15-16, Summer Exposure, Annapolis, Maryland
  • June 24-26, Naptown National Challenge, Annapolis, Maryland 
  • July 13-14, Hogan’s Hershey, Hershey, Pennsylvania Requirements 

Qualifications and Skills 

  • Multi-task 
  • Work in a team environment 
  • Outstanding communication skills 
  • Enrolled in a University, pursuing degree 
  • Lift heavy materials 
  • Proficient in Word and Excel 
  • Willingness to learn 
  • Ability to make recommendations for improvement 
  • Provide own transportation and housing; any events outside of the Annapolis area HoganLax will provide accommodations
